A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson, a biography about Bill trying to walk the Appalachian Trail with a giant man he doesn't get along with very well. Hilarity ensues. I only picked it up because I'd never read any of his novels before and people kept recommending them, and it was awesome. Plus I learned a lot about the the Trail and other Trail-related American history. Are all his other books like this? Because if so I need to go hunt down some more.
