Agreed posted:gently caress I just saw the OpSix is getting blowout pricing and I am IN LIKE gently caress, joining the OpSix club soon as they can ship it to me from MF! I don't even play piano or have need for a synth, but even I kind of want one at that price.

My first hollow body! I got a great price on it because of some belt buckle rash, but it sounds amazing with some flatwound 12s

I got this dope pedal from Ukraine. It's basically a mad professor stone grey distortion, but with an extra "fat" knob that changes the character of the distortion. Sounds as good as it looks, I'll have to record some riffs later.

Fender offsets really are my favorites. My Bass vi is my coolest guitar by far Oh I also grabbed a tenor uke from musicians friends stupid deal of the day last week. I now have a concert, a tenor, a baritone, and a Uke Bass. I need a tiny drum set, and a tiny piano now, I guess.

I got this for home use to replace a Mesa DC-3 that's a pile of garbage, hopefully this is more reliable. It is quite a bit bigger than I expected though. I love my 15 w. That thing should rip.

Captain Splendid posted:Put my cheapo (but good) Thomann JB and 5-string PJ up for sale and got this. Nothing wrong with fenders, theyre just so iconic. How do you like your bass VI. I just got mine finally set up the way I like it, locking trem, staytrem bridge, la Bella flatwound, and I shimmed the neck.

Mister Speaker posted:Not exactly a purchase, but I just got a new job in sales at a very large music gear retailer. I haven't started working the floor yet, just finished level 1 training at their headquarters. But one part of the training/indoctrination course was visiting the factory floor of their sister company, Yorkville Sound. It's very cool to see a PA company that is, from the ground up, a Canadian operation. No 'assembled in CAN (from parts made in Taiwan)', virtually everything Yorkville manufactures is done in-house. I got some pics. These are awesome thanks for the pictures

Traded in a butt load of old books and DVDs at a local resale shop and ended up using some of the credit for this cute lil pair Kinda lo-fi through the 8inch, but through a 10 or 12, sounds way bigger than it has any right to. I pulled it apart to change the tube and took a look at the innards. It basically uses a couple 4558 op amps as a preamp, with the tube used for clipping. STA540 power amp, with two channels unused 🤔 I bet I could add an fx loop to this thing Armacham fucked around with this message at 16:01 on Jul 19, 2023 |

TheKub posted:It's not much, but my first pedal was delivered this weekend, a Boss BD-2. I like the sound. I got it used from Guitar Center and it did not come with it's own power supply so I still had to put clothes on and go to the store. Is it normal for pedals to not come with a power supply? Sometimes they'll come with a battery. You can probably get away with Daisy chaining off one power supply for a while until you get a digital pedal or two. Good first pedal btw

Squier quality control has gotten really good lately. Frets are immaculate, intonation surprisingly good out of the box. The fret board isn't even dry. I also got one of the $160 Sonic Mustangs. It could use a little adjustment, but it's decent for the price as well Armacham fucked around with this message at 00:46 on Oct 19, 2023 |
