Newest acquisition: the seafoam green MIM Strat :hydrahump:. Saw it in Guitar Center today and since I go in there fairly often, I already knew that they rarely have one of these in there. According to the serial number, it's a '99. This thing looks like someone bought it and just put it in a case for 7 years. It still has the plastic on the pickguard and rear plate and there isn't a scratch or ding anywhere on it.

I got this same SG back in 2001. Don't be surprised if the switch starts to go bad. Mine poo poo the bed about 3 years ago and as I read into it it seems like a common problem with these. I still haven't fixed it either I have a bunch of rubber bands wrapped around it on the inside, and it seems to have done the trick.

I have a Line6 Modulation Modeler (chorus, phaser, flange, rotary etc) that has those knobs and you really just have to play around with each because they both change the sound significantly. The Tweez knob sorta makes the sound a little nasal-ish.

I've wanted a Parker for years now but the same thing applied - I just didn't have $1500 to drop on a guitar. Guitar Center had this used for $999, and I got it for $800. I'll see if I can record some clips later on (i wish i had a stereo cable so I can split the magnetic/piezo outputs properly).

Avatar 2x12 as shown here - will try to get an actual picture later tonight. I grabbed it speakerless off eBay for $167 and put my V30's in it By the way, Dave at Avatar is a dude. A big 'gently caress you' to DHL as well, they delivered it to a totally wrong road miles away. Luckily for me the dude who received it was nice enough to call my number that was on the shipping label and tell me.

I got a pack of these for free and I love them. Tough to find them in stores though. The grip is nice, and isn't too rubbery to keep you from sliding the pick around between your fingers if you need to adjust.

Judging by the price it looks like I'm getting the better end financially, but I can't find one around these parts that I can go and try out. Yes. They kick much rear end. Very easy to setup and they get a pretty versatile sound. The neck is pure sex, too.

Audix Fusion drum mics. Normally I wouldn't go for drum mic packs, but I spotted this on eBay and ended up winning it for $102.50. I've only used the two overheads, as I have an SM57 on the snare and a cheapo CAD mic on the kick drum. I'll put the other mics to use once I get some drum clips. So far the overheads alone have been worth the $100.

Gramps posted:You forgot to mention that they sound shockingly awesome. Pretty quiet, and it sounded good in front of all 4 channels of my amp- which is really impressive to me. It makes my guitar puke harmonics all over the place. These things are an ideal lead boost. I bought 2 to turn around and make a quick buck, but I think I'm going to keep them now and keep one on my pedalboard and keep the other for a studio toy. Got mine in too - this thing gets bright as hell. I only played it through my 60s Strat (vintage noiseless pickups) on a Hotrod Deluxe but it goes nicely with my other OD pedals. I like how it reduces low end a little, and I can't wait to try it on my Bassman (which I've hated lately since it's tough to get an even sound - it's either too bassy or too thin).
