i really do enjoy the ads they have going on for this. Some of them though makes me go I keep going back and forth on the cross dressing tv anchor thing TGTTM from repulsed to amused.

slagmatic posted:This was great, looking forward to seeing more. I really think Tim and Eric's talents are suited to these quick micro-sketches. It has more bizzare ideas coming at a faster pace than TGTTM, and I think that will help it reach a larger audience. gently caress reaching reaching larger audiences, this stuff defies that kind of notion. edit: john c. riley. I think the expectations are a bit high for these shows. If you dont like them, come back to them in a few months...you might be in a diffrent mindset by then. Lil Danzig posted:My buddy and I were both huge Mr. Show fans, and are really big into that whole style of obnoxious absurdist comedy, but he absolutely hates TGTM and Tim and Eric, and I love it. Other than that, our tastes in "the funny" are almost identical. So there's definitely something polarizing about the drat show. With mr. show it was absurdest humor, albeit very structured. T&E either has the most rigid structure of humor known to man, or absolutely none what so ever and is edited in iMovie. I found it useless to break down the structure of the humor, as that what gets in the way of the humor. Its pretty much flowing.

Rustie posted:I think that a skecth like this really shows off one of Tim and Eric's strengths. If the idea got pitched at SNL or Mad TV or something the computer would have started asking crude or offensive questions. But with Tim and Eric it just asks about types of boats. And it's much funnier that way. I agree, the fact that its rarely crude is what puts a smile on my face. Well that and a few well placed f-bomb bleeps. And for some strange reason I don't have a problem with the subtle homo eroticism, but with the hetero :confsued:

Grrr. yeah, i hope the commerical for the dvd is on the dvd. that'd be so much meta I think my brain might break. I love the loops peppered thru the ad.
