Been trying to find an album that seems to have disappeared entirely. It was (I think) something a goon made back in 2010 or something like that, and had a few tracks with different electronic styles. I don't remember exactly where I first listened, and I can't remember much. I think the name was something like "Grand Funk Electric", and from my memory of track titles there were some like "60Hz", "Walk With Rhythm", and at least one track sampled "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised". I have been searching both Google and the forums without being able to find it - I mostly just want to hear the tracks again and settle these earworms that sprung up out of my memory! Does anyone else remember these? edit: gently caress of course I find it the instant I post in desperation. It was "Emotion Highway" by "Grand Funk Dynasty". It's still up at https://grandfunkdynasty.com DrMelon fucked around with this message at 15:12 on Dec 11, 2023 |

Looking for a jazz-sounding track where it's all just introductions to people playing the different instruments, to an absurd degree.

Can anyone identify the song that starts at 32:34 in this Proper People video? Seems to be an early to mid '80s New Wave song. The GBS White Whale thread didn't seem to know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaeeZAphc2Q&t=1944s

That sounds to me like modern production aping an 80's style. They mention using a soundtrack service called Musicbed in the description, maybe that's what we're hearing?

Catchy British pop song from the mid-late 2000’s. The music video was fully CGI, and focused on the female lead singer who had the proportions of a funko pop (pretty sure this is from way before they became a thing) dancing around with running eyeliner. I’m almost certain the character was regularly used in the groups other music videos. Also although I’m certain the song was in English, the word senorita was used several times in the chorus.

Uhh I’ve got an interesting one. Sometime 10-15 years ago I was listening to some obscure classical composer. Piano stuff, it was wild. All I remember was the artist’s last.fm said something like “X was a child prodigy and spent most of their time practicing Chopin”. Wish I could find this person’s name/music again.

Shot in the dark, but Carl Filtsch? He was a child prodigy (and died at 14), and was a student of Chopin's.

Looking for a band rather than a song. South American, 70s-sounding psych rock, kinda sounded like a mix between Goblin and the Italian Spiderman soundtrack. Think it was two words, first began with F and second with P.

So this song is obviously "Still D.R.E" but as far as I can tell it's not the album version? When I plugged it in to $random-online-song-finder it returned "Still LEE" which is pretty close instrumentally but it's not quite the same. The piano sounds almost like a harpsichord it's uh, I'm not good at describing music, brighter and more sustain? https://www.facebook.com/reel/374739238394844 Of course it's an iconic song so there are a million covers but maybe this is a version that's known Edit: maybe this is the music video version? Or they're the same and I'm bad at music. The version on Spotify seems less bright for some reason maybe I'm imagining things Hadlock fucked around with this message at 02:20 on Jan 9, 2024 |

Googling '"Still LEE" still dre cover' gave me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldsX-F5qPAI by Briezy Lee, which explains the slightly different name for the track. Seems to be some homebrew cover that then goes into the original beat

I’m trying to find a song, it’s called something like “set change” or something close with “change” in the title, I think. It’s a metal song, maybe a hardcore band post 00’s. The music video is winter in a kinda rundown industrial park and a bunch of blue-collar people doing ordinary things, but the tone is kinda sad and melancholic. There’s a recurring scene in the video in which a couple of skateboarders steal a car and go joyriding before taking it to a chop shop and they are drifting/skidding on the snow and ice. It’s not by Chimaera or Shadows Fall but it’s something in that genre. The song reminds me of how I’m feeling right now and I’d really like to give it a listen.

90s (or maybe late 80s) rock song. Female vocals or girly sounding man Lyrics in the chorus goes something like 'we go bouncing bouncing ....' or 'we are bouncing bouncing...' I think they say with our children or something after that. My dad used to play it for me when I was a kid. Very hard for me to identify, too many kids songs shows up. Hey guys, I'm probably missing something but searching for this has come to nothing - can anyone tell me what song this is from? It's a _very_ brief clip from a youtube video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1pzmpJbjeE&t=523s If it doesn't start you at the exact timestamp it's at 08:44 in the video. A modern song, only lyrics are "Hear the drummer song" that I can hear. Thank you!
