I saw this video a few years back on MTV, and one of the main things that I can remember about it is that it was awesome. The video had a lot of flashing lights, and there were only two people in the band, a bassist and a drummer. There was a hell of a lot of distortion on the bass as well. I can't remember anything else about the band, but I hope some more learned music goons will be able to help.

shmee posted:Sounds like "Blood On Our Hands" by Death from Above 1979: http://youtube.com/watch?v=wOr3QsJpMZI Close, but no cigar. The video was tinted a quite strong yellow/orange, with the lights, and the bass was hella heavy. No crowd in the video I'm thinking of too.

shmee posted:That won't cost very much, they only released one 'proper' album ("You're a Woman, I'm a Machine") an OK remixes/covers/b-sides album Nuuu... Oh well, the stuff I've heard from them sounds great, and Romantic Rights is great fun to play on bass too.

I'm punching myself in the nuts over and over because I should be able to recognise this but I can't. The chords kind of sound like Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, but then the melody starts up and it sounds like a completely different song. I'm just going to admit defeat and say I've got no idea what it is. Can anyone please help? EDIT: It's Chris Rea's Road To Hell, of course it is. Have a MIDI version of Hotel California as a prize http://www.tindeck.com/listen/qyqd Tome fucked around with this message at 23:06 on Sep 4, 2010 |
