The last twice I've been picking up a takeaway from the local Indian restaurant, there's been what I assume is a music video on the tv in the waiting area. There's a bloke with a beard dancing through a hotel while a woman and three guys watch him on the security cameras and eventually he breaks into the security room, shoots two of the men and does a huge Tony Jaa style flying knee to the third's face. I couldn't make out the music over the customers and the guy giving me my food didn't know what it was, can anyone help?

I don't know if anyone's suggested it yet but "Paralyzer" immediately reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAp96n9iL_g Edit: I should really turn on youtube previews, I see someone else had the exact same thought. Pilchenstein fucked around with this message at 11:01 on Sep 4, 2016 |

There was a music video in the 90s with a man and a woman and one of them had their head on a giant toy robot? The woman was singing and she sounded like the vocals on Action Radar by the Prodigy. Edit: This looks and sounds nothing like what I was remembering but I'm going to assume it's what I was thinking of unless there were two videos with a guy's head on a toy robot: https://vimeo.com/76766181 Pilchenstein fucked around with this message at 00:21 on Dec 12, 2016 |

I'm trying to remember an indie song and I've got very little to go on: it might have been called "waiting for you", I think the chorus was something like "I'll be here waiting for you", I remember patterned wallpaper in the video (maybe? my recollection of videos is usually terrible) and it was on MTV loads back around the early 2000s (same time as "Mr Brightside" and "Take Me Out", if I remember rightly). I think the band's name possibly had something to do with the word "sea" and they were probably from northern england. Anyone got a clue what I'm on about? Googling "waiting for you" gets me a ton of unrelated stuff. Edit: it was "Dreaming of You" by The Coral, so I was sort of close but also wrong about every detail Pilchenstein fucked around with this message at 16:34 on Feb 12, 2017 |

The "DUN dun dun dun" stuff made me think of Angel by Massive Attack (though none of the other stuff fits) so in the event that it's not Teardrop check you aren't just blending bits of that album together in your mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiK2JlBpzvI

Trying to remember a music video, can't remember anything about the song but it might have been nu metal. The video had the band being chased through a bunch of buildings, possibly in Miami since I was reminded of it by the chase scene in Bad Boys.

I don't think that's it, I remember the band running through buildings while people inside were going about their business, like how they run through the photoshoot in Bad Boys.

I heard "I don't like Mondays" on the radio yesterday and was reminded of a song that ended with someone saying "the silicon chip inside my head got switched to overload" in a kind of overwrought fashion. I don't think it was a cover version cause I'm pretty sure the lyric was changed from "inside her head" to "inside my head" but I could be wrong about that. Pretty certain it was the last line of the song though, spoken after the music had finished.

A song, probably a metal song, that I heard in the 90s opened with the "I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor" dialogue from Apocalypse Now. Can't spot anything I recognise on whosampled.

I've got a refrain stuck in my head, I think the lyrics are "know what to do, gently caress you!" repeated a few times. I'm pretty sure it's a metal song and probably a really obvious one but I'm blanking on it

Saw someone streaming an old Nancy Drew game about cowboys and some of the music is reminding me of some classic western theme but I can't work out what it is. (This should tee up the bit in question but 9:20 if it doesn't) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXfiuDqqqag&t=560s Whatever I'm thinking of goes "dun dun dundun dun dundun dundun", which I'm aware is the least useful description ever but I'm painfully unmusical, sorry.

Song that starts with elaborate prog style guitar noodling but then goes into a simpler rhythmic riff. Can't give you anymore than that because it was very faintly in the background of some loud rear end Ant and Dec poo poo on telly tonight while I was visiting family. Pretty sure it was something super famous though.

It was Joker And The Thief by Wolfmother, I just got home and found the show on catch up so I could listen with headphones and managed to pick out enough lyrics to google. I think my description sucked but in my defence I heard it on tv from across a crowded room
