Oh thank gently caress the archive is back, I had to listen to some episodes multiple times because my stockpile ran out Time to download about 100 episodes in case this ever happens again! As for good episodes: -Any episode with Steve-O and Chris Pontius (or any of the Jackass crew because they are always hilarious and incredibly frank, one episode Steve-O actually gets propositioned by a caller and takes her up on the offer) -Tom Arnold (really interesting, also one of the funniest calls of all time, the holocaust call.) -Robert Downey Jr. (in one of the episodes his ex-wife calls, also he's really drat funny) -Dave Attell (just hilarious in general) -Seth Green (also hilarious) -Ron Jeremy (for funny Adam rants about pornography and for all the interesting stuff Ron talks about) The Duke fucked around with this message at 04:43 on Aug 29, 2007 |

I was mixed up about the episode with Robert Downey Jr.'s ex-wife, she's actually the guest and he calls in at some point during the episode. The date is June 2, 2003, Guest Deborah Falconer. Hilarious episode.

I'm not really a fan of the Bill Nye episode, I remember he does these annoying voices constantly and it kind of pissed me off since he wouldn't quit. I did like them talking about Beakman's World though.

The Patton Oswalt & Brian Posehn episode is one of the most consistently funny episodes I've heard so far, even if the discussion about who they could gently caress at what point in their careers lasts a bit too long. Also, Brian doesn't add much but is pretty funny when he actually says something. Patton is 100% gold though. Worst episode I've heard: Wes Scantlin from Puddle of Mudd. He rarely says anything and when he does it's something insanely idiotic, Avoid at all costs. If anyone has any other episodes where the guest is terrible please feel free to start listing them. More good episodes: -Chris Titus -Jake Busey -Jamie Pressley -John Cho & Kal Penn -Jason Bateman & Will Arnet ("In order to reach these kids, Hack will have to become...a rapist!") He might have, but I seem to remember that he was gone), and a gay caller kept getting the "You're gay" drops from Anderson. I swear to god he must have gone through ten variations on it. Like 3 different "You're gay," a couple of different "He's gay" and a "They're gay" were all thrown in. I love the Drew drop that sounds like "yergay!" said really quickly. Cracks me up every time. Also 2002 is up! Anybody have the episode from 5-9-2004 with Andy Richter? I'm listening to the episode from 5-3 with Jack Osbourne and he was supposed to be on that episode too but forgot. Anyway he calls in and they reschedule him, but after he hangs up Adam goes into his hilarious sarcastic rant about how Andy is addicted to drugs and out of control and that's why he forgot to come on the show. I'd love to hear them bust his balls on air but the archives went to 1 year at a time and they only have 2001 up right now

WDIIA posted:The DAG show where they spent the first 30 minutes talking about how his long-time girlfriend was cheating on him (I think that was it) had its moments but it was also rather uncomfortable, and I wanted them to move on with the show. I just tried to listen to this episode again (first heard it probably a year ago) and I didn't even make it 20 minutes in before turning it off. Probably one of the most obnoxious episodes I've ever heard, what with DAG's over exaggerated blubbering and whining.

Just came across a pretty classic episode: 9-29-2002, Jimmy Kimmel subs for Adam because the night before Adam got married. The whole episode Jimmy and Drew rag on Adam because he cried at his wedding, and Anderson plays this hilarious drop of Adam sobbing at least 10 times. Another funny thing is that Jimmy gets fed up with several boring callers and just hangs up on them mid call without the caller even getting to their question sometimes. Jimmy also requests that callers call in the following day when Adam returns and make fun of him for crying. I haven't heard the following episode yet but I have high hopes that the callers actually do, I can only imagine Adam getting more and more pissed as each caller makes fun of him. edit: just looked up the 9-30-2002 episode, Kathy Griffin The Duke fucked around with this message at 05:39 on Aug 22, 2008 |

Try to get these two particular bits: -Adam asks a female caller how tall her door is, gets enraged after she can't give him a straight answer -Male caller describes himself as "5'12, almost 6 foot" I can't remember which episodes these are from, but I think the tallness question was during a Seth Green episode.

I just listened to the 9-11-09 podcast with Dr. Drew today on a whim and holy poo poo is Dr. Drew getting ENRAGED by his kid's school having to transport the students to San Diego for a football game loving hilarious. I don't think I've ever heard him basically going into Adam rant mode and screaming into the mic before, and I've listened to a few hundred Loveline episodes over the years. Are there any other clips of Drew being this crazily mad out there?

Hey yeah Adam, let's defend a dude that stole his job back and soured the career of a better, more deserving comedian, is horribly unfunny and idolized by the exact network blowhards you've ranted about many a time, and is completely up his own rear end about how awesome he is. But hey, he's got a garage filled with classic cars and he probably lets you drive a few around every once in awhile, so that negates everything! What a loving hypocrite.

They're a semi-satirical metal band but they aren't playing characters or anything, they're just incredibly funny and quick witted. The last 20 minutes of this episode where they play "who the gently caress sells this poo poo" is probably the funniest bit that's ever been on the podcast. This really is the best episode of the podcast. Every single time they launched into Kiss' "Lick it Up" I was rolling. The best by far is their Bob Dylan version of "Lick it Up". Drunk Badger posted:Reminds me of a Loveline recording I just listened to where Drew brought his kids into the studio. I'm surprised Adam didn't screw them up for life. The one with Andy Milonakis where Anderson plays those drops at the start of the episode of Dr. Drew saying "I'm a rapist!" and Adam shouting "NIIIIGGER!" or is there another one with Drew's kids? Either way, one of the funniest Loveline moments ever.
