And here you are, my glowing sun...

Thanks for this post. I found it quite interesting if a little lacking in detail but I appreciate it's much too difficult to cover all situations in any depth. If I may, I have a question about my fingering technique.
Say I play a major scale, C Major for this example, using my right hand:
code:
C# D# F# G# A#
C D E F G A B C
T 1 2 T 1 2 3 4
(T = Thumb 1 = Index Finger 2 = Middle Finger 3 = Ring Finger 4 = Little Finger)
This is the correct technique, right? What about for the left hand? Is it:
code:
C# D# F# G# A#
C D E F G A B C
4 3 2 T 3 2 1 T
I'm also curious about the F Major scale. At the moment I play it like this for the right hand:
code:
F G A Bb C D E F
T 1 2 3 T 2 3 4
and for the left:
code:
F G A Bb C D E F
4 3 2 1 T 3 2 1
but should it be like this for the left?
code:
F G A Bb C D E F
4 3 2 1 T 2 1 T
Is there one set way of playing each scale in a technically correct fashion or does the positioning vary from scale to scale? Aside from a teacher, is there any other way of finding out the "correct" ways of playing each scale, for example a website which shows each scale and the correct fingering? Thanks in advance for any and all help.
