Evil Bob posted:Fans of Circle Takes The Square ITT? 15 years of listening to it and As The Roots Undo is still my number one album. I have one tattoo and it's a CTTS one. I've never been able to see them live but it's my dream. When I bought the vinyls for ATRU and Decompositions from their store, I got a little post it note thank you from the bassist :3

Did a deep dive into my long abandoned Last.fm profile, some flashbacks to what I was listening to mid-late 00s. gently caress, totally forgot about Gospel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwfxverPrI4 And The Spirit That Guides Us https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrsRdtMSv3M Good? I dunno, but still feeling nostalgic

There's a lot of recency-bias in my Spotify stats, since I've mostly used it for new bands and have only been using the app seriously since like 2018 Top 10 all time 1. The Accidentals 2. The World Is A Beautiful Place...etc 3. Alkaline Trio 4. Rare Candy 5. La Dispute 6. Coheed And Cambria 7. Bright Eyes 8. The Color And Sound 9. Felix Hagan & The Family 10. Good Kid Seriously, only Co&Ca and Bright Eyes are bands I've been listening to longer than 3 years. And 6 of those 10 are in my 4 Weeks list too lol I'm definitely more into the poppier side of Punk, but I like this thread and because of it I discovered PUP, so that's cool I'm open for recommendations

A bit on the poppier side compared to the usual posts in this thread, but new Sonder Bombs is catchy as hell https://open.spotify.com/track/64F2l136oePmUwOG9zB1vU?si=xntz_wumRlaxbJbHJyrbmg

Only time I got to see Circa Survive, Anthony was super low energy and his voice was really weak. Merch lady said he was sick. Still tried to put on a show but I would have been fine with him taking the night off. Now, Now and Minus The Bear were great so it was still a good show.

Saw The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die last night with For Your Health and world's greatest dad. Great show, all 3 bands killed it except for when the lead singer's pedalboard died during the WGD set. They tried to fix it but just played without it.

I saw Hot Mulligan last month at Sad Summer Fest and it whipped rear end bumped into the lead singer at Excellency Music Fest in Bay City, MI last weekend, that was cool. Great event but the venue was a historic Masonic Temple that had like no ventilation so it was hot as balls inside.
