So I already asked to no avail, but can anyone recommend me some hardcore along the lines of Wiccans and Cülo? I'm looking for some more good '80s influenced hardcore bands with a tight sound. Pretty please?

I haven't heard Wiccans, but when I saw Culo I got some major Threatener vibes. Definitely check them out, they released 3 of the best 7"s of the 2000's.

I'm super excited because I just got the jackets in for my next release, so I figured I would post it here since I follow this thread and post every few months.

By February the whole thing should come together, but you can check out a few songs at their bandcamp. The band is called Seas Will Rise and it's along the lines of His Hero is Gone and Tragedy, it was even mastered by one of the guys that in From Ashes Rise.

Also while I'm at it, you can listen to the first release I did by a band from Phoenix called Gay Kiss. Terrible name, I know. For fans of pg.99, Walls, and Born Against.

Does anyone else put out records? Let's talk about business.

So I really like 1994! and found them because of their tour with Algernon Cadwallader, who I also like quite a bit. I can't stop listening to FUCKYRHEAD, what should I follow it up with?

Definitely check out Tiny Hawks. They have a lot in common with 1994!: they were a two piece, there's lots of tapping and weird rhythms, and they rule.

I just put out a record by a band called Seas Will Rise. You can listen to a track at my bandcamp page http://anxietymachinerecords.bandcamp.com/. If you like His Hero is Gone you will like this band.

In other news, who's going to Chaos in Tejas?

Speaking of bandcamp, I just put up the next record I'm putting out. http://anxietymachinerecords.bandcamp.com/album/get-out

Chaos in Tejas is this weekend. My friends in Avon Ladies are opening for Tear It Up, I'm super jealous.

So I'm having a back to school sale for my label: http://anxietymachinerecords.com/

Who cares about buying records though. You can click on Releases and hear everything for free. The new Dogbreth 7" is something I have been incredibly excited about, sounds like Superchunk.

They haven't been a band for 8 years now. They can't really dissolve something that doesn't exist.

I definitely saw them within the last year, and there was definitely a tough guy knife fight in the parking lot of the venue. So, good riddance.

So, today my friends in Gay Kiss had their new record come out. You can listen to it at http://anxietymachinerecords.bandcamp.com/album/fault-2. It's pretty great. Kind of noisey, kind of ugly.

That's not really a bad thing. The constant lineup changes have really hosed with the style of that band. They should have broke up when they kicked Kevin out.

Daydreamnation is one of my favorite punk records, but I totally agree. The newest 7"s did nothing for me and I think it's for the best that they call it quits.

On the other hand they killed it live last time I saw them, even with the rotating line up.

Noisey is streaming the new Radioactivity album, which is Jeff and Mark from Marked Men's new thing. It sounds like Marked Men, so that means it's going to be one of the best releases this year.

a couple things about two of my fav hardcore bands at the moment:

S.H.I.T. has a new 7" and they continue to be one of the best hardcore bands at the moment, total fury and weirdness: http://whatwedoissecrete.bandcamp.com/album/generation-poo poo-7

and if you are in the south/east, go see another one of the best active hardcore bands (and best dudes) gay kiss open for off! who are touring with dale crover on drums: http://noisey.vice.com/blog/that-off--melvins-supergroup-you-never-saw-coming

It's really cool that Off! are taking bands like NASA and Gay Kiss on tour. I hope all the Gay Kiss dudes have cool Keith Morris stories when they get back from tour.

The Tiny Hawks guys had a new band for minute called Arcing. Looks like it's not active anymore but they did put out an EP.
