So, tell me what I need to know about the group Beherit. I know they've released a slew of demos over the years with a few full length studio albums. After dabbling in the ambient/electro they've seemed to have put out their first black metal album in over 10 years called, Enham.

Where should I start and is it worth the effort?

The new album is actually called Engram and it's good. I haven't heard their earlier albums (of which I'm ashamed), so I don't know how they compare, but the word seems to be that Engram doesn't quite reach the level of Drawing Down the Moon, which the guy above me already praised. So yes, get at least those two.

I wonder what kinds of drugs the guys in Beherit were into. I somehow can't see them on smack.

My bet is shrooms and/or acid.

Man, Belus stinks.

The strongest songs so far are Kaimadalthas' Nedstigning and Sverddans but its just overall weak.

Whereas I thought Sverddans was one of the most boring moments on the album. I've only listened to it twice so far and have not decided whether it's as a whole appropriately enthralling or just boring.

Edit: After a couple more listens, I firmly believe I do in fact like Belus. Not to say it couldn't have been made better by adding more layers.

Anyone have anything to say about a band called Clair Cassis? I ordered some records and got sent, in addition to said records, 3 empty vinyl sleeves of Clair Cassis' eponymous album. The cover looks good and so I was wondering if I should find more about this band.

Ooh, a Velvet Cacoon side project? Funny they sent you just empty sleeves. What's up with that?

I mean I suppose they also stole the music in Clair Cassis? :P

I guess they just needed something to fill up the box so the other records wouldn't rattle around. I suppose they had a bunch of extra sleeves. Or maybe the band is poo poo and no one buys their frisbees anyway.

It should be noted I refuse to drink lager, so Koff and Karjala (which were cheap) were out of the question.

Well, that's another story altogether. Also, it's a shame lagers are so prevalent in Finland. I do drink them, but would prefer something else.

Yeah, I was wondering about the lack of discussion as well. Seems like everyone declared it poo poo when it leaked.

I like it, though.

Shameless self-promotion ahoy:
My mates and I recorded a 3 track EP last year and now we finally managed to make one track public while we look for a possible publisher.

Shamelessly plugging my own band since our EP from last year just got added to Spotify and other streaming services.

Mostly black, with hints of death and doom.

And though it's not obvious based on the lyrics (and who here can understand our moonspeak anyway), we fall into the anti-fash bm category as well.

False, Falls of Rauros, and Yellow Eyes all have albums coming out this year at the end of June/beginning of July. No songs out yet as far as I can tell, but that's a pretty solid trio.

I'm eagerly waiting for these to drop.

Also, pre-orders are on from Gilead Media for this and the new False, Falls of Rauros and Mizmor records.

Did you order the CD or the LP? I think Gilead's running a bit behind schedule at the pressing plant for vinyl.

I ordered mine from Deathwish Europe, but that would explain why it hasn't shipped yet.

And joke's on me, I also ordered Yellow Eyes and False at the same time, and they've been out since June or July. It's been a grating wait.
