Has anyone discovered Firienholt? I just heard them for the first time yesterday and I was very impressed. Especially The Whispering Shadow. Just wow. Never thought a 13 minute song about The Lord of the Rings would give me so many feels.

I just discovered Summoning from my copy of By The Waters Of Awakening by Firienholt having a cover of one of their songs on the D side. Absolutely mind blowing that stuff like this was being made as far back as the mid 90's.

I like them for the same reason I enjoy Kekht Arakh. I feel like black metal vocals are inherently dramatic and villainous, so why not play that up?
