My favorite thing in the world: Engine partially disassembled. "Hmmm, I took this weird stuff off, this is is really hard... hummm what do I do? Oh man, the Dukes of Hazzard are on!" *proceeds to leave everything open to the elements for the rest of eternity*

I would restomod that, put in an LSx, and drive it all over the US. Way more interesting than a newer motorhome, and probably rides better. Would definitely get better fuel mileage. The camper is in surprisingly good shape. StormDrain posted:Why not? V8, body on frame construction, it's just a low truck really. Slow af I'm sure. Oh, now THERE you go. Though even a stock 5.3 is going to have more grunt than the original 365 Caddy engine.

Yea seriously and there's one that someone drives to my cemetery almost every day that I thought was the nicest one left. This one is better too because of the year. I'd drive that and I really don't like fieros that much.

The interior on that thing really lets the rest of the car down, it's like GM ran out of effort and decided a bunch of poo poo out of their compact car parts bin would work great. I mean I know that's how the rest of the car was designed but by 88 you'd think they would have improved it somewhat

80s lambos weren't really known for their interior fit and finish but at least that doesn't look like the cabin of a Silverado

So... what are those kits based on? Probably not the usual beetle or Fiero if it's got a V8, although I guess I've heard of people swapping Fieros. Or are they completely custom kits like the FFR cars or a Locost or something?

It's so ubiquitous now, when was it decided that all bass boats get painted like a coffin tank on a 52 panhead chopper from 1977?

Not enough balls to race, not enough money to buy the real thing, and enough cheap property to store it without the windows installed, baking under the sun or under a pine tree for 15 years. I feel like there's a lot of cross talk between kit car guys and old men with really really chromed out Harleys.

Kit cars and bass boats are fiberglass which gets a gel coat rather than paint. Gel coat is much much thicker so it holds more flake and has really great depth.
