Yeah, the insane people are the sellers. I've been casually browsing cars to get something newer and it's baffling too. Seeing a few year old used cars with 120k miles for not much less than new is nuts to me. Just gonna end up running my car into the ground at this rate.

I like to think the scratched up steel paint/wrap looks more like worn and faded denim. Then it makes a lot more sense.

My mom bought a cougar new in the early- mid 90s. I think it was an xr7 with the 5.0 but an auto. Pretty baffling to current me given that she had two younger kids (two door but car seats for non-infants were probably less of a thing then). Lack of memories points to it being pretty unremarkable. I thought it looked kinda cool at the time though.
