This E30 looks like it might actually be a reasonable deal by today's standards.

I wonder what's going on with the discoloration on the valve cover and manifold though:

that discoloration is cosmoline, which was sprayed over the engine bay to protect the car from corrosion during shipping to the US. Its a pain to clean off but harmless.

looks pretty decent but might be more of a $4000-4500 car, based on the interior condition.

Not worth a 2-4k premium, but I'd gladly pay an extra 1k for the ZHP stuff if I were looking at e46's.
