Please tell me more about this DOHC INLINE 8 that Ford jammed in there. What the gently caress did they steal that from?

I've read about this before, apparently that engine is just 2 I4s bolted together with the transmission in the middle or some such bizarre contraption.

edit: it's also identified as a 4-litre I8 so it wouldn't surprise me if it was just made of 2 Tempo engines.

Tempo had a 2.3l with no such sweet DOHC business

You could have the Camry with a 5speed manual + V6 in those years. Way more exciting than what they are offering now. :smith:

1994 Ford Escort GT with what I assume is a KL03 V6 from a PGT swapped in :stare:

I... really want to call this guy.

It's a bolt in affair since the Escort GT AND Probe of that generation were Mazda based and shared some motors.

Only one motor mount is different than the normal Escort set. Good price if everything works properly.

1988 Pontiac Fiera

I edited out all the location details so one of you snatchmoes doesn't snatch it out from under me.

I bet I can get the I4 that's in it running. Also way to go misspelling Fiero (is fiero a real word in a real language?)

Also I bet I could talk him down to $500 (USD), which is what I can get from a junk yard for my seized (non-ricer'ed) '94 accord.

Iron duke mated to an automatic won't make for a speedy ride (I bet your accord is faster). Maybe consider buying it for the shell and finding a 3800. :)

the only option

Northstar V8 is harder (and way more expensive) than a simple 3800 swap (not even S/C). I know a local Fiero guy who has a few modified ones;
- 3800 swapped daily driver
- 3800 S/C swapped fast car
- Son has a Northstar swapped Fiero

The two 3800 swaps went super quick. The S/C swapped one not only sounds awesome, but retains some room in the engine bay to work on it.

One of the most sought after aw11's is the '85 "stripper" model(manual everything, no sunroof or any options really) since it is the lightest one ever made. Personally, my favorite is the '89, since it has the LED spoiler, and all the other nicer body parts of the 87+ models.

Oh hey, I have one of those 85' stripper models and the nicer 87+body kit in the garage. AW11 heaven.

For starters, nothing on the air side of that turbo at all from what I can see. I can't figure out what that small pipe at the bottom center of where they collect at the turbo flange is doing. Is it going to another turbo or something?

The Nissan KA has a forged bottom end awaiting new pistons to seal the deal. They can withstand quite a lot of abuse and make that Altima move rather quickly for what it is.

The tail lights (probably head lights too), paint, stupid can exhaust, decals, and wheels ruin a rather quick sleeper.
