We have the guy selling a Supra for $75k. http://houston.craigslist.org/car/562811338.html Someone had posted a hilarious reply about comparing a used car to old shoes and giving them to a hobo, but it seems to have been deleted

DropShadow posted:I don't know anything about Supras, but the car in this ad is not a typical DD Supra. I'm not saying the price is right (I have no idea), but it's definitely not a garden variety Supra if it really has 1082rwhp as claimed in the ad. Not by a long shot, but the reply that apparently got deleted was loving great.

Downshifting is the same, but backwards. To shift from D to OD (or vice-versa) you have to push the button in. To shift from OD to N the button must be out. From N to R and P the button must be in. This prevents you from going forwards past OD into neutral when manually shifting into fourth. It also works like a normal automatic, I can leave it in OD (or D) and it'll shift like any other car (just a bit firmer, the code OZ tranny on these cars does that). It's a shifter made for drag racing, basically.

One interesting thing is that while helping restore my dad's 1952 MG TD, we found out that the company kept no records of the color that they put on a particular car. There are correct colors for the years, but no individual records. He's going to repaint from an almost aggie maroon (almost certainly not the original color) to BRG with tan leather and burlwood dash. Once he paints the thing I'll get a project thread done.

My dad just bought this from a friend in colorado for $3500 http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/3398447095.html Apparently the reason for the rediculous hood scoop is that it's a CJ3A with the later motor from a CJ3B swapped in, requiring some clearance. We're trying to figure out what to do about it at this point.

Decent 2002 project for sale. Lots of parts, good looking body don't see any cancer. Had AC too, year is not that desirable but it looks pretty complete. Might be a good swap candidate. http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/4103539298.html

Uh no timing chain should be "lifetime" 150k plus on those motors. Motor's shot. But, you can swap a K24 into that for some HUGE TORKS.
