 I notice Radio Shack sells these. Is this a good kit to use to get into the hobby?

My father was an EE. He gave me a bunch of his equipment. I have no idea if it's useful or way obsolete. Any idea on these things? Probably from the 1960s or earlier:
HP 130c Oscilloscope
GR 1311A Audio Oscillator, General Radio EDIT: found one for sale on ebay
