So I am thinking about opening an Etsy shop, and I am reading through the guide pages they have.... And I've gotten to a couple where they mention an example of a person who took an entire year to make their first sale.... WOW That is a looong time. It is mentioned that a lot of people give up too soon, but I can't imagine I would ever bother screwing with the thing for an entire year without making any sales. If it went three months with nothing I'd assume I was doing something really really wrong... For those of you who have been doing this a while, 1--how long did it take to get your first sale, and- 2--do you sell something pretty unique, or is it fairly common?
