A squid eating dough in a polyethylene bag is fast and bulbous, got me?

Rare? Toyota front axles are incredibly cheap to come by. I've had 2 given to me. I use a spare birfield as a door stop.

In addition to this, look for Jeep Wagoneer front axles. Correct width PLUS cheap and decent.

I was about to do a little trail run this weekend when

SAD JEEP happened. Just the transmission cooler hose, but I won't be able to get a replacement until Tuesday. Never leaked a drop, then PUKE near the driveway.

Don't ask me what my plans are for the color mis-match. I was just looking for a headlight bucket that wasn't held on with 16 gauge wire and NO brackets.

EDIT: This is relevant to your interests: Pick N Pull has a 1/2 off sale until Monday. Better get your junkyard in this weekend!

Sounds good, I really like K5's but they're just not practicle for a DD, plus finding one in decent shape at a good price would be tough. Looks like $3-5k is the common price for a 99 XJ. Any common issues to look out for? I'm pretty excited, I miss having an SUV.

edit: How long do the automatics last before a rebuild/replacement? Looks like a manual might be hard to find, are those any better?

edit2: How about the Nissan Xterra? Similar price, body on frame instead of unibody if that matters.

The AW4 in my 88' XJ is still going strong at 210k. The only problem, and one I've seen before is that the trans computer tends to be on the weak side. I'm shifting mine with switches to the solenoids right now. Fluid has been at the same level and color for about 3 years (since a rubber cooler line cracked).
