In Alaska, old beater Subarus are worth a substantial amount because even though they usually look like crap, they run and run.. and run. While the look leaves a lot to be desired, it's structurally sound, starts up fine, and mostly needs body work, some paint, and replacement of common components to make it reliable. Then:   Now:
