You may get lucky and get ones that fail the QA binning to become enterprise drives because of a minor flaw, but you can also get ones that'll constantly fail or misbehave in unpredictable ways, making the experience of using them an absolute nightmare and the rootcausing of the issue without something like dtrace even worse.

I've never heard that before. Are there any good articles or videos about companies selling enterprise drives that fail QA in USB enclosures?

haha I used Windows Home Server too

maybe it wasn't so great... but it was perfect for what I needed it to do
