There are many other important points I'd like to make, which at this point I should probably just package up into a GDC talk, but I think these are the most important for anyone grappling with the world as it is today and the evolving nature of AI. It's new, and somewhat scary, but it's going to be OK. Good artists are still going to be very employable.
Thanks for these posts. As someone who has worked a bit with AI it's frustrating to see people freaking out over curated tech demos as indicating AI is a Magic Machine That Can Do Anything. I went from jumping into ~AI Filmmaking~ to learning cinematography and UE5 for VFX, because I want to make something other than little gimmick videos and it's almost been useless for 90% of what I want to make. Trying to create emotional drama and craft mise en scène with tech based on an image slot machine kinda sucks.

I really think hybrid live-action+CGI+AI is gonna be the future. The AI filmmakers out there (at least the ones making anything remotely interesting) have already been doing this.
