That is such a handsome motorcycle. Which Honda is that again? Every time you post it I drool a bit.

I like the spring and flowers and stuff but my bike is just a pouty goth at the picnic.

My riding school had Honda Hornets, so that's the bike I did the majority of my pre-licence learning on. I would like to try one again with my current skill level. I think I would probably like it a lot more than I did as a total newbie.

I've bought a bike where the PO had blacked out the stock indicators with black felt marker pens.. I saw the uneven edge and tip strokes.

Track season finally started, first day on the SV. So nice being on a bike with a set up suspension. Here's me admiring the apex from a half mile away. Slowly getting better but still a slow boy.

I see that GoPro. Post your lap I'm going next Sunday. Will be the first time on the 600. Hopefully I don't have a massive crash. Going from a bike that gives up at 85mph to one which can do well over 150mph should be something.

Here's a couple of laps from the late morning. Don't judge my slow rear end too harshly. Got caught in a little traffic because we're only allowed to pass on the straights in novice (and rightly so.) The folks in the brown shirts were first timers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BkvvjhJSBM I also tried a chin mount but turns out I need an extension arm to angle it right so you can see exactly zero of the track ahead of me. It still kinda worked to at least review my inputs.

no judgement from me (but definitely wide through turn 5 ) I'll post myself too. This was from Laguna Seca back in October. I was hoping for a 2min lap time, but I was mostly doing 2:04 to 2:06, with my personal best of 2:01.62 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8CSg5pxHbk

Nice lap, you're boogieing. I'd love to get out to Laguna Seca someday. Turn 5 was my nemesis all day. Thunderbolt is mostly right turns and the biggest issue I was fighting was just having the energy/stamina to move back and forth off the bike especially as the day progressed. I am wildly out of shape and still getting over some covid fatigue. My legs were complete jello the next day. Need to seriously work on some training so I'm not dragging rear end out there.

Haven't been around here in ages but figured I'd post my current 2 wheels. 2020 Triumph scrambler 1200xc. Fun bike but I do a lot more dirt than pavement these days so I've been thinking of selling it and picking up a KTM 500exc.

Did a bit of detailing yesterday. After screwing up my lower back, this was about all I could manage. Looking forward to fitting my new coil, plug wires and plugs, along with new BLACK coolant hoses. Getting rid of those ugly blue things will be the highlight of my year. Also painted my thermostar cover. Going to rig up my airbox with some JB Weld where the mounting screw hole was. It'll be nice to not be in danger of losing yet another one from crappy structural zipties.

I did my first track day on the CBR600RR I picked up in October. It's not a street legal bike (I have the title, etc., but bike has track fairings without lights, etc.), so it was also the first time I've ridden it. I've done probably 1500 miles on track on my CB300R, and I had ridden an RS600, R7 and R6 on track a little bit as well, so I wasn't super concerned. However, that was only for 20 minutes, in a lead-follow group, or just for one lap, and never my bike, so those were fairly mild laps. That said, surprising to no one, it is so much more physically demanding to ride a 600 than a 300. I have assumed this bike is mostly stock, but maybe it has had some engine work done? I don't know. It felt so much more powerful than the R6 I rode. I think the gears were shortened for sure, because the speedo seems to be about 10% off, so maybe that's it. Opening the throttle pushed me all the way back, getting on the brakes threw my into the tank. My inside shoulder started to get pretty tired to the end of each session. It took a more to get the bike to turn, and the power on tap meant it was more likely to push out wide. It revs up and down so fast, rev-matching the downshifts is way harder to do well (towards the end, I started to use the clutch more to smooth out the downshift than trying to match; no slipper clutch). Anyway, it's a lot to get used to, for sure. The best time I managed was 2:17.86. I told myself I should be able to do a 2:20 fairly easily but I was hoping for a 2:15. Here is a video, if you are truly bored! It's a pretty sloppy lap to be honest, so at least I know there is much room for improvement! I did my best to work the gearbox and not be that guy who just rides around in 3rd. I'm not entirely sure the front brake is where it should be. It feels like the first 30-40% lever travel does nothing, and then it really comes on. It is nice when you need to grab a little bit of brakes min corner, but doesn't make me confident coming into the corner. At one point I did a stoppie at 90mph. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIQlYHVPFig

I was out yesterday too, here's a couple clean laps I got in, there was a ton of traffic in Novice though. My lines were poo poo, I was fighting fatigue hard, it was almost 90F and humid, just energy sapping and I couldn't drink liquid fast enough between sessions. Too early in the year for this crap! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnju9c0ybno
