New desk to replace the rickety old particle board thing I was using before. 8 ft long, 170 lbs, solid maple top, steel legs, adjustable height workbench. Rock solid. Zero movement.

Got a 30" LCD, 15" laptop, printer, speakers and plenty of desk space left over for writing, eating, whatever.

It's rad.

Thanks, got it from Amazon. Gladiator 8-Feet Adjustable Height Maple Work Bench.

And yeah, I'm sure a handy person could put together something roughly equivalent at half the price.

You must not work for a tech company in California. You even hint at hand/wrist/back type ergonomic problems here and they're bending over backwards to do something about it.

Just moved into a new place. Chair stretegically placed to hide the cable mess. Going to zip tie them once I'm sure I'm happy with the placement.

Just cleaned my office, so:

Desk is a Gladiator 8-Feet adjustable height maple workbench. Ridiculously heavy and solid. Love it.
30" Dell screen and 13" MacBook Pro.

PC case is a disaster. Should do something about that.

edit; whoops. Not much has changed since the last time I posted my desktop here. Sorry.

Jumping on the standing desk bandwagon.

Same workbench that I've been using. Just adjusted from all the way down, to max height. Still super stable.

It's the 8 ft one. $550 with free shipping if you have Amazon Prime.

I've had it for a few years now and am super pleased with it.

How tall are you? Is it a decent height for you at max-height?

6'1". Good height.

Not sure if it's perfect though. Was thinking it was a little too low. But, then I got a standing desk at work too. It's a bit higher and it feels too high.

Need a little more time with it.

Might also consider getting a standing only desk + a stool or drafting chair. Probably makes sense if you're standing the large majority of the time.

Good! Super small and looks awesome. Quality kit. Was easy to put together.

I'm running this setup at stock clock speeds and no case fans. Very quiet while on the desktop. Also can't hear it while gaming with headphones. GPU is staying under 80C so far.

Really enjoyed building that guy. The GPU is still a bit louder when playing games then I'd like, not sure I'd go with a micro next go around.

Hey NCASE M1 & MBP buddy.

My M1 build isn't quiet while gaming, but I use headphones so it's no problem.

What chair is that and do you recommend it?

It's good. Those blinds are half open just to get better light in for the photo. More than dark enough with them all the way closed.

edit; though I also think these windows never get direct sun.

Facing east in the photo. So, depending on the time of year, I sometimes have to use the curtains in the front for the first few hours of the morning and the curtains in the rear for late evening. After that though, it's all nice and diffused light. Decent amount of trees outside.

Zero issues with quality control. Not a scratch on it and it looks more expensive than $375. Have a second, smaller cabinet coming.

Guess I'm going full garage chic with my office.
