Performance MX. It's expensive, but it's a stellar mouse. Not a lot of programmable buttons (but I don't use those anyway) and a little large, but really well-designed and easy to use.

My guess? It's a cheap desk with poor supports that have enough flex to bend slightly when you type. The result is that you're continuously bobbing your desktop up and down.
