Frankosity posted:1. was for the Genesis/SNES, a sci-fi sidescrolling shooter. I remember going through a level (possibly the first) and under some kind of condition, your player character gets equipped with a suit of power armour or something that looks kind of like an astronaut suit. Then you go through the level again, but the colour scheme is different and you're more powerful. It's kind of muddled, I'm afraid... Could be ESWAT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ESWAT:_City_Under_Siege, first thing that popped into my head.

Hannibal Rex posted:I had a look at all the games mentioned, but it's not any of them. I don't think the player character was bare-chested, so my brawny barbarian comment probably was misleading. It's also possible it was on another system, possibly a mega drive, but I still think Amiga is most likely. However, none of the youtube videos I looked at seemed familiar. Leander? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yErm-YRYzjM First upgrade you get makes your sword shoot out daggers. Bonus it was on both Amiga and Megadrive

Arcade game around the early to mid 90's, don't know if it had a home port, it was a lightgun game in 2D but had tons of sprite/background scaling to give a 3D effect of you moving through the stages, it was two player and one guy was red and the other blue. May have had 'Line' in the title? Also possibly a Sega game. Not a movie or any other license. Sounds kind of vague now, trouble is it was kind of generic outside of the graphics being really good for the time (or so I thought).

PC Engine game from the early 90's most likely an arcade port, very similar to Bubble Bobble/Rainbow Islands/Parasol Stars but I don't think it was by Taito. You hit stuff with a hammer I think and one screen was full of Halloween pumpkins? Never played it, just saw it in magazines, might be JP only.
