I can't stop listening to the Nier Automata soundtrack. Very likely to be one of the best video game soundtracks ever made, like, top five. Almost every single track is a gorgeous piece of music in its own right and many can be played outside of the game. The ones I keep returning to though, are the variations of Weight Of The World. I saw an animation using the first half of Bo Burnham's Welcome to the Internet and the loving thing has been stuck in my head for a week now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1BneeJTDcU every time I try to go to sleep it kicks in. I've noticed this sort of "can't get a song out of my head" thing tends to happen way harder when I'm having severe anxiety, which super doesn't help! At least it's a funny song and not, uh, loving Komm Susser Tod which was one of the ones I could not stop thinking of during a previous anxiety episode. I've had this ridiculously silly power metal song stuck in my head for weeks now, the animation for the music video is so good that I've wound up watching it dozens of times https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeROS92-BsM&hd=1 and now I've just had the stupid lyrics of "ZARGOTHRAX, MASTER OF NIGHTMARES, KEEPER OF CELESTIAL FLAME" and "HE WIELDS THE LASERBLASTER, DARK LORK OF DUNDEE"and "HE'S A SORCEROR, NEFARIOUS, WITH EYES THAT BURN LIKE FIRE" manifest into my brain whenever I'm watching something and I hear someone be like "who's that" or "who is he" etc apparently the band's song lyrics are telling the story of their D&D campaign or something, which, yeah, that tracks with how absolutely doofy the lyrics are
