Dungeon Crawl * You will die. A lot. It's normal. * When in doubt, run away. Actually, try to run away anyways.

Lockback posted:requesting Jagged Alliance 2 * Get the 1.13 "mod" Patch here. It is an unequivocal improvement over the original game, featuring a shitton of guns, smarter AI (they will flank you) and increased resolution. * Go in the .ini file and TURN OFF THE DRASSEN COUNTERATTACK. Or keep it on if the thrill of taking on 50 enemy soldiers with only flak jackets and .38 specials at your disposal turns you on (it can actually be really fun and tense). * Lie, cheat, steal and kill your way to firearms with longer ranges as soon as possible. It is highly recommended that you hire a merc equipped with a rifle in the beginning. Bull has a Thompson and is one of the cheapest. * The most important attributes are Marksmanship (shoot stuff), Agility (move), Health (get shot) and Level (significantly affects everything). You will require one of the following specialists: Mechanical (repair stuff), Medical (patch up your gun wounds), Leadership (train militia, talk to people), and Explosives. There will be overlap though, so don't worry too much about it. * Right-click to spend more AP points aiming to increase accuracy. Scopes increase the bonus.

yook posted:When you get to opposing force, the barnacle gun hooks on to biological stuff only, and it's fun but unreliable against enemies. The teleport gun will teleport anyone it hits directly, but the splash damage from hitting the wall next to them is usually a kill. Secondary fire teleports you to another area, which is different depending where you use it and leads to some easter eggs. There will be a different area in between every "loading..." section. Most will actually be one of three generic rooms, but some will be actually be unique. Just give it a try every time the game loads a new level.

Vander posted:How about for Mark- I mean Max Payne 2? If it matters, I have played Max Payne 1. Shooting any gun under bullet time will cause Max Payne to do this accelerated reloading animation where he just spins around. This is very useful with the double-barreled sawed shotgun because you then end up with a semi-automatic sawed-off. Blast blast, spin-reload, repeat.

Very useful thread. Kindly requesting STALKER: Shadows of Chernobyl, Vampire: Bloodlines and Europa 1400: The Guild. I'd also like to know which mods are required for a first playthrough.

I don't use iron sights. They may be more accurate but that's vastly outweighed by the fact that your lower vision is completely obstructed and you take so drat long to reacquire your target after the recoil. The enemies generally do die in one headshot, especially to the back of the head (even fuckoff armored dudes). Use plenty of cover and don't bother trying to go for a headshot in the beginning of the game until you're very close or have a more accurate weapon than the POS pistol you start out with.

tokyosexwale posted:Specifically, is there any way to transfer alchemical formulas to another party member? For some reason my leader got a nice transform spell even though he knows nothing about alchemy and now I can't use it. and how long does it take to be able to learn a saint from a church again? I waited 10 days and I couldn't get access again. I think you can only learn particular saints in each city. I also don't think there is any waiting period (except for once a day), but rather the access to the church is dependent on your charisma and latin skills. It is also helped by donating to the church. I made an intro thread to the game a while back that had a bunch of resources but I can't seem to find it anymore. It was called "You NEED to play Darklands" And no, you can't transfer recipes.

tokyosexwale posted:Is there anyway to delete spells or control who gets them? Also, I am just doing something wrong, but do you have no control on the formula trading process? If you chose it you're just going to randomly loose one formula and gain another? That probably has to do with who you have designated as the leader. Their name should be in red. I think right-clicking changes who the leader is. I'm pretty sure if the option to learn a saint is greyed out you need to go to another church. Even if the church doesn't like you, it will list the saints available and let you know you can't learn them after you select them.

For overlord, I would say to not bother upgrading or forging anything until you get the third forge. Save your lifeforce and gold because you seriously gently caress poo poo up with fully upgraded Aracanium equipment. You can solo most of the dungeon at that point. If you want to deck out your minions, the dungeon is a great location until you get to the desert. Dwarf warriors will drop the best equipment in the dungeon. If they're not available, zombie hordes drop really good stuff as well. "For me!"

Not exactly what you're looking for, but this site covers everything. Some tips: -You can explore pretty much the whole world in the first chapter. It gets constrained more for a few chapters before opening back up again. Use the opportunity! -Don't buy weapons and armor full price. Either buy them from this shop that sells them worn or use your enemie's. You should be repairing every single weapon and piece of armor that you stumble across the whole game in order to get your repair skills up. OneTrueBru posted:Wiz8 Tips I had a few more questions: 1. In the context of best practices, am I expected to have all my characters each carrying some of the following- healing, stamina, cure poison, smelling salts consumables? It seems necessary especially if my support characters bite the dust. 2. Does casting light 7 times at the lowest power train your skill just as well as casting light once at the seventh power? 3. Are there any MUST-HAVE spells that I'd be silly not to take? (i.e. Identify?) 4. Are powders and bombs worth using despite not having thrown skills? Conversely, is the throwing skill worth raising for just that purpose? Cheers!

I heard there was a work-around for Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer on PC. I tried searching but there's an awful lot of results that are just piracy cracks. What I'm finding annoying is the 18 player cap and the ridiculously long time to not only find a match but the intermissions too.
