I just graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in journalism and studio art a couple months ago. Since then, I've not been able to even get an interview with anyone for full-time employment, and will be starting the prereqs for an ADN program this fall. I'm really looking forward to it. My mother has been an RN for 15 years and she was ecstatic to hear that I am interested in the field. I'm also a large-stature male with a friendly persona...many people have told me that I will be instantly employed because of this. This is going to be a long three years, but definitely worth it.
