I finally put together my (mostly)vintage stereo system - every single item pictured came from either the Salvation Army or Goodwill and it took me six years to piece it all together. It all works, even the reel-to-reel. I'm still trying to find better speakers, the ones I'm using now are Frankensteinian abortions made up of parts from like five different vinatge speakers housed in old Realistic boxes. Bang & Olefson Beomaster 4400 reciever Kenwood KD-3070 turntable Ampex 1100 reel-to-reel tape recorder Pioneer 8-track recorder some piece of poo poo cassette deck from the Eighties Sony 200 CD player Radio Shack 3-deck dubbing switchbox One question, though, what are the little rubber cups called that hold the reel from falling off the spindle(see arrow in photo)? And where can I get them? Right now I'm using masking tape, which is too ghetto even for me.
