I'm still around once in a blue moon, but very rarely these days. That and I made the switch over to being a dirty, dirty clanner after the whole GoonCorp/Synergy merger.

What is the best class to twink with?

Traders are pretty much the end-all, be-all of twinking, but I REALLY don't recommend them as your first character - To play one effectively, they really require a deep knowledge of the game's skill mechanics, and they can be a bit of a bitch to work out when you first start playing.

That said, though, there are videos of level 1 Traders taking on bosses that usually require a full team to kill, so... yeah. Traders can get retarded. They're insanely powerful at low-to-mid levels, get a bit weaker in the later game, and then go back to being good PvP characters past level 200.

I cant get anymore tokens for my title level so missions are inefficient.

You can get all the tokens you want, you just can't upgrade the board yet. The tokens will still be added to your token count, though, and puts you that much more ahead of the curve whenever you reach your next title level.

Looks like the media blitz for the new booster is getting cranked up. Good to see FC still putting effort into the old bird - Once the new graphics engine gets out the door I may start playing again myself.

The expansion (they call it a 'booster') is more a tide over while they work on the thing that's theoretically been consuming more man hours: importing AO's environment to the Ogre graphics engine.

Fixed that for ya. http://forums.anarchy-online.com/showpost.php?p=5364680&postcount=2

So how is LoX regarding solo and 1-3 man team content? I haven't gotten around to taking a look at it since I opened a new account and started leveling an engineer. Is it worth buying if I'm not interested in the raid part and such?

From everything I've heard (not currently playing, character's too low to hop in on the content anyway) it's all very solo-friendly, but a bit clogged at the moment because there isn't much instancing in the new big playfields. Supposedly the boss encounter instances (or at least some of 'em) tailor themselves differently based on the size of the team, though, to the point that small two-man teams are having an easier time than larger groups.

I'd be willing to bet that FC tweaks that before long, though, so probably best to get in and enjoy stuff before it gets whacked with the Nerf Stick™.

http://forums.anarchy-online.com/showthread.php?t=553916 -- Interesting news.

Long and short is that they're going to go from using the Ogre open-source engine for the big AO engine revamp to the same rendering engine that Age of Conan uses. The AoC engine is actually handling pretty drat well these days... might be a good change-over for them.

And the only way to send credits and items to an alt is to use a mule account (yes, account) because apparently Funcom is against the idea of simplifying the process like pretty much every other MMO made.

They're apparently working on getting a new mail system into the game before the end of the year, so that should simplify the process a bit.

I want to play this so bad, take the fixer for a walk and punch some things with the MA. Unfortunately I haven't been able to play since they added the ingame shop (a lot of people haven't), due to chromium being a pile of poo poo that only work on a small selection of operating systems, and the shop browser in based on chromium. Good job nutty norwegians for excluding a decent chunk of the already low playerbase. I want to play so much.

Not sure what OS you're running, but if you're using WINE they finally got it working under that. http://forums.anarchy-online.com/showthread.php?t=584405

It isn't even locked to the Doc pistols - You can use that poo poo with Aimshot if you want. Drains nano like a sonofabitch but I mean yeah; between this and the other high-end DoTs and whatnot saying Docs have no offense isn't exactly true. ;P
