I'm upgrading from an old LG phone so I don't really know what to expect from more modern phone feature sets. Just by going for looks alone the Sony Ericsson W580i looked neat but all the reviews said the keys crack and that it generally breaks once or twice a year. I don't want a RAZR that much I know.

# Country/Provider:USA, ATT

# Current contract status: 2 Years

# Budget (phone/plan):Prepaid Emergency, Burner, drop phone whatever they are called

My family was on a bloated ATT family plan, that my sister and I just left the plan for greener pastures. This leaves my mother and brother on the family plan, my mother uses her phone at the most for 5 minutes a month and my brother around 30 minutes. To me it seems they would be better off with a prepaid phone than with a contract. So what is the cheapest plan + phone I can get for them? Another site I looked at said boost mobile would be the cheapest running $40 a year with their cheapest phones being $50. I know they'll have to eat the termination fees but I think that would be cheaper even with the cost of a new phone than to stay on with ATT.
