All the spoils of a wasted life
Anyone else notice in the friday the 13th trailer the shot of jason as he drops the wrapped up body on the ground and turns around hes wearing a burlap sack over his head?
That looked pretty cool.

What does everyone think of Nightmare on Elm-Street: the new Nightmare, the one where Freddy crosses over into the real world to try and kill the actress that plays Nancy?
I thought it was pretty bad, it was neat how people would get ripped apart but only Nancy could see him.

What is with directors inserting their girlfriends into every movie they make regardless of whether it makes sense or will improve the film?

They did this with a Real World horror movie some years ago. It was HORRIBLE.

Also Wrong Turn 2 might be the most fun I've had with a slasher in a while.

Henry Rollins made that movie watchable, if that is the movie I'm thinking of.

Watched Girly off of Netflix instant que and it was surprisingly good, a 1970's British horror movie with good acting a hot babe who looks like Goldie Hawn in the titular role, and a nice twist.
No over the top gore or torture porn but worth the watch for sure.

I loved how their response to growing horror was to pull out bigger and bigger spotlights.

I don't think either come close to the original. I thought 2 had some good effects for the time and I think it's OK to watch that.

3 on the other hand is just bad.

Just watched 3 recently, it is bad for lots of reasons, but it also has some cool stuff going for it. Some of the jump scares are done nicely until the whole mirrors everywhere thing gets played out.
Also the little girl died just before filming wrapped and so the ending has a double which is weird.

Yeah snowtown murders was a hard movie to watch and left me feeling pretty sad, reading the wiki made it even worse.
The dude became addicted to murder and after awhile his vigilante act just sort of fell apart and he started picking off his circle of friends.

The guy who kidnapped Megan later kidnaps her best friend (the main character). He then rapes her and buries her alive in an oil drum with Megan's rotting corpse. There's a ten minute scene of just him digging a hole with her screaming for help from inside the drum.

The worst part is when she stops screaming and starts confessing her love for him in a calm manner and promising to be better in bed in an attempt to win her freedom.
That movie sure was something else, I can't say I hated it but I'll never recommend it to someone.

yellowbrickroad is essentially Event Horizon on a hiking trail instead of a spaceship.

Sam Neil would have been a better choice for the main character I thought.
Good movie though, the record scratches and sonic attacks were a pretty neat touch, too bad it ended like a Goosebumps book.
