I always see loads of post this, and post that threads.. but I've never actually seen this one.
Figured it would be cool to see what the people on the forum actually drives.
So it would be cool if you just posted make, model, year and any other pertinent information regarding that vehicle.
And at last, but definitely not least, post a photo of your OWN car, not one that looks just like it.

I currently drive a Miata, but it's being traded in next week for a Merc.
Here are pics of both!

I think I would love this car!
I read Jeremy Clarkson's review of it in the Times.
He says its probably the best car BMW makes, even beating the M3.
Being about the same size as the original M3 and with even more power, it brought him straight back to the crazy 80s..

Sounds pretty unbeatable to me..

Ah, my mistake :P But in all fairness, he did post a pic of the E85 when the discussion began.
Wikipedia says: The new roadster features a completely revamped interior, designed by Nadya Arnaout, and exterior, designed by Juliane Blasi.

My 5000 kr / 850$ Golf Mk2 CL 1.6

Had it since october '09 , and have so far just spent about 150$ on maintenance / errors.
Should probably get the timing belt done though, as there is no history of when it was last changed, I kinda live in fear every day I drive it.

Going in for the bi-annual european checkup test thingy this week.. hopefully it'll get trough without too much fuzz.
The interior is the weirdest thing on this car, it looks brand new..

It's an '84.. first year of the mk2.
The fact that it has no center console makes me believe it must be one of the very first sold in Norway. I've never seen it on any other mk2. It also does not have a 12V outlet / cigarette lighter.

As for the milage, it says 189000 km right now.. but I can't be sure because the odometer stops and starts depending on the amount of fuel on the car :iiam:

That's also why I'm concerned about the timing belt.

The summer alloys are nice considering the price I paid, but it's got rusty, old, ugly steelies on now in winter...

It's an awesome find.. runs good.. not too happy to start in -10 c, but then again, what carb engine is?

Did you try to replace the RIAL middle Cap with the original BMW logo cap. A lot of the time the RIAL Salerno (looks like that type) has the same Cap size as the original Cap. And judging from the pic thats the case with your rims.
It looks a lot better, since the Salerno is very close in desing to several BMW orignal rims.

I hadn't really though about it, they came with the car. But they are indeed Salerno rims, and I'm looking into it. Thanks. Looks like the caps used to be 9$ each at Tire Rack, now they're 15$.. dammit.

Just use the Caps from your summer rims, and save 60$ :), just push them out from behind.

There is an easy solution to removing the Caps from the winter rims, if you don't want to keep the rial caps that is. Simply drive a small screw into the Rial Caps and you can easily pull em out. Saves some work :) wastes the Caps though.

I've googled it, and the Rials are usually a itty bit bigger, so if you reuse centercaps they'll be loose.
Fresh ones fit though.. and I'm thinking that if I switch, and they don't stick, I'll be out 120$..

Getting paid in three days, so we'll se what I do. Might find some on ebay as well :)
