I had a nice Miata

But now I have a nice Mini (and I miss my Miata)

This has an M7 pulley, Alta intake, Milltek exhaust and some sticky RE-11's. The car came with the performance modifications already installed, but I did buy the tires while in California so I could be a lunatic on Mulholland. Now that I'm back in Colorado and it's snowing, I'm struggling to find the same traction. It's not real suicide exactly, but more of a cry for help suicide on any unplowed roads.

Also, cool cars from everyone.

My friend bought a clean old Honda Insight. Now I like Hondas so I bought one.

This is after installing the Koni/GC thing, and some wheels that fit.

The factory steering wheel is slightly loose at the 12 O'clock position, so I am replacing it with a black Nardi Classic.

Also, where do I go to cash in this OEM Honda sunroof visor thing?

I'm not sure what a good price is. I paid $2300.
Plus the Koni/Ground Control, rear sway bar, wheels and tires it's about $4000 now.

I only removed the purpled tint and 90's Kenwood flip face CD player for something with a USB/iPod.

About 44mpg on the way home as well, it's a lovely car.

He could be talking about the rubber/plastic/stuff formed around the metal ring that forms the physical steering wheel. My old CRX steering wheel was like that.

Yes, the rubber outside part has begun to separate from the metal ring inside at the top, not that I grab it there.

What offset do the wheels have? They look great but seem right on the border of rubbing/aggressive.

I love a < $500 car.

It makes me feel like such a good owner when I buy an air freshener, floor mats or vacuum it.

I have an NA Saabaru. The 92x has no roof rails, but that does not stop me from buying a couch at Ikea.

In hindsight, I wish I'd opened the boxes.

I'm not sure if I want to be held captive by the snow with a RWD car as a daily. Thoughts?

Would have been cheaper to buy Blizzaks?

The STI might have AWD, but that won't make up for it's high performance summer tire on a snowy day.

I had the most fun autocrossing a $300 323. Co-drove with my friend and we were very competitive sliding the car around. 40psi in the tires until the steel belts appeared.

323 also took 1st in FSP this year against some very tough competition.

I got summer wheels just in time for winter. I also purchased some used coilovers and will be autocrossing in STX next year.

Which suspension did you go for on your ft86?

They're Lance Keeley's old Feal coilovers.

For wheels, I would have preferred to get the 17x9 Team Dynamics Pro Race for their looks, but they're bricks, 7 lbs heavier each than the RPF1.
In the Rocky Mountain region there is already a white FR-S with these gold wheels, so I'll become the twinsie. Oh well.

17x9+45? They look flat face which are the 9" spec. How do you like them so far?

I ask because I think that's the exact wheel I've looked at getting for my BRZ.

Yes, they're 17x9 +45.
I believe if you call Oakos automotive and beg for some discounts they'd probably give the lowest price, but I got these used on the FT86 forum for $800.

They're good. the 235/45/17 Dunlop that came with the car when I got it feels less squirmy.
