Hi art folks. I got bit by the bug and suddenly wanted to do some collage. So I got a bunch of old books and stuff, and cut out some pictures. But then I realized these cool old pictures were usable only once. Glue, modge podge, finito. Kind of a waste, right? I remembered I had a light box that i could learn to use. I could assemble the pictures, trace, paint, watercolor, etc. it could be pretty cool. Collage but reusable via tracing and light box. So here is the problem. My cut out source pics are from textbooks and they are printed front and back. Placed on the light box, you can see the text. Hopefully this works: https://imgur.com/gallery/pkxuAxV there's the link in case See the reverse text on the pieces? Maybe if I tape all my cutouts to a piece of paper and then photocopy it, then I can cut them apart and just use the photocopies with the light box? I have some clear sheets of overhead transparency plastic, so maybe I could tape the pieces on there and do the same? I guess it wouldn't matter with the photostatic, because it would be opaque anyway. Wilkins Micawber fucked around with this message at 02:32 on Apr 9, 2024 |

I've taped all my collage-ables to some computer paper and I guess what comes next is photocopy and/or scan em in. Maybe if I printed the results in extra black or on super thin paper or a better idea,, it would be better for this collage/ light box setup? It's experiment time
