Anybody remember the too-cool-for-school band Test Icicles that people claimed were founded as a joke and allegedly disbanded because they hated their own music? Well, I dig their stuff, and want more like it. I've checked out a lot of Last.fm similar bands (Help She Cant Swim, Bolt Action Five, Trash Fashion, Glamour For Better) but they all sound like pretty standard brit-rock ala Arctic Monkeys. I miss the rawness and despair of their sound. The only similar band I can think of is The Blood Brothers (whom I also dig). Any tips?
