At what point do I need to start pruning tomato plants? Last year I neglected to prune at all and I got a couple of wild, leafy plants with hardly any fruit. I planted 3 new plants this year, and so far they are about a foot tall and are starting to grow outwards quite a bit too. I dont want it to get out of control again and miss out on good tomatoes.
