I live in Austin, Texas. Would it be a horrible idea for me to try something like this? I've got a harebrained scheme to have a garden with a nice pond and a beehive but I'm concerned that despite my best efforts I will end up with a hive of murderous bastards due to living so far south. Is this a valid concern? Or am I just overreacting to the Africanized honeybee hype?
