Just wondering, at what point in a slide do you get back on the throttle? It seems like cracking the throttle while still crossed up would be a recipe for a high side, and that once the bike is tracking straight again is when you get on it.

I was referring to backing it in, the type of slide you start with a massive downshift.

I also just started working on my bike and have a bunch of other work I still need to do, so I can't make it today. :(

I think all you do is take it to the police station and get them to certify it as street legal(DOT-legal headlight, brake light, plate light & bracket, turn signals if required), then once that's done you go to the DMV and get plates for it. The Nebraska DMV website should have more info. The only other issue is that it's a 2-stroke, So unless you bring the stuff to pre-mix with, you're kinda limited to one tank of gas per ride.

An entire Sunday afternoon spending riding sumo is hard to beat. Rooftops, 3ft deep puddles, train tracks, loading docks, cement factories, mud trails, state parks, huge parking lots and puddles that were more like river crossings all made this a great evening.

Seconding the "Rooftops?". Tacoma has a huge industial district, I think I would have a blast playing urban motocross on a sunday. I wanna trade the monster for a sumo now.

Just did a quick google, yeah, it's in brake cleaner and carb cleaner. Not sure in what percentage, but that and methyl ethyl ketone seem to be the primary cleaners in both.

Just did this. Jesus, all his achievements read like one of those meme generators. lose pole with 4 minutes left, "I'll give it another go" - take back pole. Crash twice in one race - still take 5th. "too old to sponsor" - takes 3 SBK titles.

Vinyl will probably bubble up as well, unless the gas vapors pass right through that too. That's why all tank graphics are perforated.

Let it sit in a tub of Rit dye from the grocery store, that's pretty effective.

While we're on the topic, the bike I'm working on was a street legal enduro in the 70's. I scraped off the sticker on the neck to repaint but kept it on a piece of cardboard. Will inspection require I have that sticker on there, or will it be fine to bring it in and show that the VIN matches?

I'm not sure if I have it configured correctly or not, though. Does anyone know if the LC4 in the 625 SMC generates 1 spark pulse per revolution, or 1/2, or 2? I currently have the vapor set to one spark, and cruising at 65 in 5th gear I think I was turning about 4k RPM according to the tach. It just seems like idling at around 1500 RPM seems a bit high for a thumper.

I looked briefly on my phone earlier, but I didn't find an answer for the LC4.

Shouldn't it be 1/2? Single cylinder four-strokes spark every two rotations.
