Git question. If I have the following:

code:

A -- B, B2
  \- C

where B and B2 are at the same commit and I rebase both B and B2 onto C, why do they end up with different hashes? Why do I get the following:

code:

A -- C -- B
       \- B2

instead of:

code:

A -- C -- B, B2
