Do you Man Utd guys ever stop and reflect that you're wearing the logo of a failed American company that has been front and center of this current financial recession? Not trolling, honest question.

Not a United fan, but I am pretty sure they couldn't care less, I certainly couldn't, as soon as they stop getting paid by AIG they get a bigger deal.

Mandalay posted:Do you Man Utd guys ever stop and reflect that you're wearing the logo of a failed American company that has been front and center of this current financial recession? I wouldn't wear it if I went over to the US, but in England nobody knew who AIG were before United took them over and very few people would know anything about them even now. Anyway Quelle difference?

It's a few years since it was doing the rounds, but I seem to remember there being a section with a replica (I assume) of the European cup and (I think) Shevchenko's shirt from the final. I think his medal was in the same section.

I don't like how MLS seems to have adopted the American sports tradition of having a colored jersey for home/away and then a white as the other one. I much prefer having the second kit use colors that don't really have much to do with the original team colors and a third comedy option kit. It allows for more variety and design options and is especially nice if your team colors happen to suck. And I really hate all white kits. It especially irks me that LA uses theirs for home and away whenever possible.
