Scikar posted:There doesn't seem to be anything solid but apparently those are the home and away shirts for the full season. That's clearly a fake, same with the red one with the white stripe and the Samsung logo. Look at the white spec by the outline of the Samsung logo, looks like it's been done in MS Paint. As for the one in your post, the pixel-ey bit on the black part shows it's fake.

Scikar posted:Yeah, I see what you mean about the black part. The white with red sash matches the original 1909 kit though and there's a few more pictures of it floating about, but no hard info anywhere. The crest looks fake on the red/white one too. Looks like poor usage of the clone tool in Photoshop. The white one looks real, which should be worrying for United fans, because it's hideous.

You know, it's possible to like a few clubs in a league. Take Spain for instance. I don't give a gently caress about La Liga, but I might enjoy watching Real Madrid for a season or two, then I might enjoy watching Barcelona. I don't support either, but might like some of the players. When I was a kid, I liked a lot of the Barcelona players, such as Stoitchkov and Hagi. Then Zidane was one of my favorite ever players, so I would favour Madrid. I'm just using this as an example, so don't go comparing me to Confusion or anything, but a lot of people have floating support for leagues they don't follow too closely dependent on who's playing for the teams in question. He never said he supported them or anything like that and I doubt he's going to become a big AZ fan just because they've won the league or anything.

Some Clown posted:I thought there was some rule in the Premiership whereby a team had to keep their kit for two full seasons. Clubs got around it in a way by staggering the launch of their home and away kits for alternate seasons so they had a 'launch' every year. I always thought there was a similar rule, but there isn't. United and Chelsea both have new home shirts this season and I'm almost certain both changed them last season, United certainly did. As you mentioned, I seem to remember talk of a rule about 15 years ago when United were changing their shirts more regularly than other clubs.

As someone said, Wigan were (are?) doing season tickets for £99. I remember hearing recently that Fulham have one from around £140 or something like that. That being said, I remember hearing a few years back that for the price of a Charlton season ticket, you could get one for Barcelona. Of course that's the most expensive for Charlton and cheapest for Barcelona, but still...

frankenfreak posted:Probably. Germany's biggest lower league-only stadium in Düsseldorf falls a few hundred short with 51,500. I don't think other countries can compete with those numbers, unless there's some clubs playing in a huge run-down standing room only former national stadium in Eastern Europe. It's slightly smaller, but even more amazing is Leipzig with a 44,000 stadium in the 5th tier Then there's Queens Park in the 52,500 Hampden in the fourth tier of the Scottish league. The Liepzig one's more amazing though, because it was built (I assume) for the World Cup. What happened there? Were they just determined to have one in the former East Germany or was there something else at play?
