My partner and I are looking at buying our first home and we've started looking at some places that may require a bathroom renovation, a new bathroom or some other plumbing work. Given I know next to nothing about the complexities of what that might involveiIs there a good list of questions I should be asking that might help uncover what we might be getting ourselves into? Or will it all be a big guessing game until someone comes to inspect it? I'm based in the UK so there's a wide range of really old homes from all eras in various states of wear and tear. There's plenty of places that just have bathrooms in very odd spots but I'm guessing there's a good reason for that and it won't be an easy or inexpensive change.
