Your best bet is probably Jack Campbell's Lost Fleet series, Drake's Lt. Leary series is also good, though the scope of the conflicts is much smaller so far. After that... maybe Vatta's War? The other series I've read in this genre range from mediocre to abysmal(Star Carrier, Starship or more recently, To Honor You Call Us) so any recs are welcome too.
