You could have scored high enough to be a consular officer but since you chose pol officer and barely missed it they just fail you. Just keep this in mind. Is it inadvisable to choose one of the less popular cones in the hopes of changing it later? I've read about people changing cones and picking at the low hanging fruit seems more ideal. Especially because I assume they're flush with applicants due to the situation with the economy. Also, if you do change cones, are you sent to the bottom of the hierarchy and have to work your way up again?
