I just want to thank you guys for such an informative OP. We just adopted a kitten from my girlfriend's boss, Phoebe, and she had some trouble sleeping through her first night in our apartment and subsequently kept us up all night. But, tiring her out during the day ended up being just the trick, and she's doing much, much better and seems really comfortable and well-adjusted now.
