So, I really enjoy Converge, early tDEP, Botch, Starkweather, Drowningman, Deadguy, All else failed, mostly stuff from late 90s - early 2000s. I'm looking for stuff that I've missed there and hopefully contemporary bands that can measure up. At the gates-core and Meshuggah-core give me nothing but headache. Thanks in advance.

Lol, I know Norma Jean, not a fan for some reason. Ed Gein I've always considered grindcore, as good as they are. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYqZcecRQms This is awesome https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mWukIHzXho This is also good. Deathwish signature production. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8numjRTo3M This is groovy. Thanks Shooga. I'm listening to Deadguy's Fixation on a coworker and it owns so hard still almost 30 years later, aged like whiskey.

Thanks for the recs, will check them out later. I'd also recommend Starkweather's This sheltering night. Blackened sludgy technical metalcore with awesome vocal performance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCuDNhVRUkk rvm fucked around with this message at 19:56 on Mar 21, 2024 |
